Na Mooneys and SíFiddlers – live and TV sessions

I’ve been busy busy busy with my family band. Na Mooneys’ new pieces for the Earagail Arts Festival 2020 premiered last Sunday July 19th on their An Srutháin (Small streams) channel on Youtube.

The compositions include a new song, Siúl i Suain (Walk in Slumber), written by my brother Gearóid and sister Anna. The rest of us also composed a medley of tunes, beautifully recorded by our friend Manus Lunny. These pieces are also available to purchase on the Bandcamp site now.

Another project which has been one of my favourite recording experiences ever was with 13 other Donegal fiddlers, the SíFiddlers. We have a new album out since July 1st on digital format on Bandcamp and the physical copies are on their way from the printers soon.

I am meeting these great people tomorrow in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath to record a TV show for #FleadhTV, socially distancing of course, which will be televised later on in the Summer.
