Dia Duit Mairéad, I can’t wait to get started on the lessons, this will be my first, it’s such a beautiful tune, but its been way too long since I picked up a fiddle and I wasn’t great back then so I’m hoping I won’t sound too much like a bag of cats.

Don’t worry about being able or not.
Just take your time, no one is listening.
Slow the speed down to what ever speed you want to learn the tune at.
Stop the video at anytime and go over what you have learned and go over phrases .
This is designed to teach you at your speed of learning!
Also loop a phrase that you can’t get into your head to listen it a few times!!!
    Listen, listen ,listen!!!
    Best of luck!

Great tune. im staying on the 0.75x speed for introduction of this tune, i love this tune, i plan stay on this speed just practicing to clean up any my mistakes. i am not able to go past that speed. hoping build from there. i am starting to get into the habit of recording the tune after series of repeat playing at that speed.

It’s good to learn the tune very slowly but surely at the begining…it’s not about speed.
It’s all about learning all the little notes and intricacies and being comfortable with your bowing.
Good girl Josie, keep it up!
