Happy November

Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh le fidil

A Chairde,

Fáilte roimhe na fidléirí úra!

Welcome all the new fiddlers!

Looking for some guidance for my next recording of lessons which I hope to record soon.

What tunes, that I might  know, would you like to learn?

Should I put some pointers up about tone/bowing etc?

I really want to make these lessons to suit your needs and would appreciate some feedback to cater for this.

I’m very busy with different projects between tv shows and recording different, commissions and  virtual performances.

To be honest, I’m really enjoying being home and living a normal life with my daughter Nia who is 17 years.

I enjoy being here for her when she gets up every morning and collecting her from school, something which wasn’t constant for her all our lives until now.I just love it!

I’m enjoying the excitement of composing more new music based on the rich tradition which I was lucky enough to be brought up with and sharing this with yourselves.

Míle buíochas as ucht bhur gcomhluadar.

I am interested in what you have to say about bowing and the Donegal style. Tunes, are there any that are related to Christmas?
