I think I have all Altan’s albums & was fortuante enough to hear the band live in Dallas at the NTIF in ‘98. I love the music and can’t wait to hear the solo album. I’ve been a devoted fan for years. Thanks for keeping up the good work. It is deeply appreciated.

Dear Mairead,
Saw you in the NCH with ALTAN &the concert orchestra which was a wonderful gig this year.

My most personal association I have with Altan is while on the way to Coombe hospital with my wife in labour and baby no.4(DARA)on the way in 1995 I put on the CD player in the car and out wharfs Frankie playing a slow air,the fact that he has just died and we were about to give birth to a new life has stayed with me since then as one of the most profound and wonderful personal moments.

Thank you for all the pleasure you have given us,continued good luck for 2009.
