Hello Mairead! Congratulations on your new solo album! I met you in St. Louis, MO, USA a few years ago and again at the Gatherings festival in Killarnay. I was with and am friends with Joe and Anne Burke. I have know Dermott from his playing days at McGurks Pub in St. Louis. I can't wait to hear your new album.Hopefully, your travels will bring you to St. Louis again and if so, do not hesitate to call. Good luck and all the best, Tom Fitzgerald

I recently took my first trip to Ireland and had a chance to see you as part of the T with the Maggies concert at the Button Factory. What a splendid evening!

I neglected to pick up your solo CD (I have several of Altan's) and immediately regretted it on returning home to the United States. So I got online, found your site and ordered it.

Absolutely stunning. Thank you, thank you, thank you for recording this work and making it available!

Mairead a chara;

I first saw you and Frankie in Houston, Texas back in the early 1980's. I was awestruck and mesmerized. Not only were you stunningly beautiful, you connected me with centuries of my past in Dromore, County Tyrone. (My family emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1764). I continue to buy all of your CDs. I live out on a farm in Central Texas and you are my connection to my past and my connection to understanding part of who I am in the present. I hope to send one of my children (now young adults) to live with a family in Gweedore to finally learn the language we have lost. Best of luck to you in all that you do.

I have enjoyed Altan's music over the years and your gigs in the Atlanta area. Looking forward to getting your new album. I will be attending the Summer fiddle school in Glencomcille in August for the first time this year (sadly, too late to meet the great James Byrne). Hope to get a chance to meet you while I am in Donegal if you are playing anywhere.

Best sishes
John

Hi Mairéad,
I really enjoyed hearing you on "The Arts Show" this Monday evening and would love to acquire a copy of your wonderful new album, "Imeall." However, I am unlikely to be so fortunate as to attend one of your gigs (living as I do on a remote Scottish island) and do not possess a credit card, as required by the purchasing facility on your website. I was therefore wondering whether there are any alternatives, although if not I will continue to listen out for your inspiring music on the radio.

Kind regards,

Benjamin.
